Jim and Myria have had the privilege of owning Jim’s Automotive Service for the last (number of years)years! The business started in a one bay shop and has since expanded to five bay service stations as a result of their continued commitment to excellent customer service and trustworthy automotive repair. Jim has been in the automotive industry for over 30 years and repaired thousands of vehicles.
When Myria can pull Jim away for the shop they can be found spending time boating or camping. Myria also enjoys rock hunting and has a good collection of rocks. They have five grandchildren and will often times have one of them at the shop assisting them for the day! Jim says,” You can never start them out to young on repairing cars!”
Matt is our certified diesel technician!
Matt Dertinger has been with Jim’s Automotive since 2010 and is our lead mechanic. We are still trying to find something that Matt can’t fix! Matt attended Lincoln Technical Institute and specializes in Automotive and Diesel and is ASC certified. He continuously strives to keep up to date on all the newest and greatest in the automotive world. One of his goals is to work on the first self-driving car. When Matt isn’t working on cars, you will find him off -roading with his customized Jeep that he made into a Rock Crawler. If it’s a toy with a motor, Matt’s gotta have it!
Felipe joined Jim’s Automotive in Fall 2016 after graduating from Lincoln Automotive. He is a thorough and hard working technician that gives 100% every day and soaks up new training and techniques like a sponge. Felipe’s drive is one the reasons he fits in so well with the team as he continues to grow each day and his desire to help customers get back on the road to their own adventure is fueled by his love of learning even more in the industry.
An avid hiker, even after being chased up a tree by a mountain lion, Felipe loves being outdoors and can often be found outside of work playing soccer or volunteering with the local Lift Up. His first experience with cars came from rebuilding classics with his grandfather and he hasn’t put the wrench set away since. He can be seen with his arms buried in his own engine on his days off and is always looking to learn something new about the industry and vehicles he loves.
